#20 Hemp Cord Spool (1mm thick) is our best-selling product. It is offered in 40 beautiful colors. For this tutorial we used lavender color string, but you can choose any size or color you prefer ( #10 hemp cord spool 0.5mm or #40 hemp cord spool 1.8mm). Try matching the color of the cord to your outfit so it can act as a complementary color accessory.

This is a quick and easy DIY project that is suitable even for novice crafters as it is made using only one simple macrame knot. Please note that we have used a standard size bottle in this example. While you are working on this project you may want to measure your bottle for sizing purposes. So let’s begin crafting!
STEP 1
Before you begin, you will need to find a place where it will be convenient for you to work. Ideally, you should find a hook, hang the cords over the hook, and work on your craft there. Make sure the height is suitable for you so your arms and hands do not hurt while you work.
Start by measuring and cutting 16 pieces of hemp cord, each at 10 feet long.

STEP 2
Take all the cords, fold them in half, find the middle point and hang them over the hook.
STEP 3
Measure 12 inches from the middle point down (on the left side) and tie an overhand knot with using all 16 cords.
STEP 4
Repeat step 3 on the right side. Measure 12 inches and tie an overhand knot. Level the knots before proceeding to step 5.
STEP 5
You will now begin connecting the two bundles of cordage, starting a few inches below the knots. Take 4 cords from the left side and 4 cords from the right side and tie them together using the same overhand knot.
STEP 6
Next, rotate the section tied with the knot to the back of the bundle. Make the same knot again by taking 4 cords from one side, and 4 cords from the other and tying them together.
STEP 7
Make two more knots using the remaining cordage and the same macrame technique you have used in the previous step.
STEP 8
Do not forget to level all the knots you are creating.

Now you are going to tie another row of knots a few inches below. Take 4 strings from one section and 4 strings from another and make 4 additional knots.
