Micronized Hemp Hurds (150 Microns)

Micronized hemp hurds are ultra-fine particles derived from the woody core of the hemp stalk, precision-milled to an average size of approximately 150 microns. Produced from hemp grown without pesticides or herbicides, this clean, natural material offers exceptional consistency and performance for advanced manufacturing applications.

At this fine particle size, hemp hurds become an ideal bio-based filler and reinforcement for polymer systems. Their high surface area and uniformity enable strong bonding within thermoplastics and thermosets, improving material strength, dimensional stability, and overall performance. As a renewable alternative to mineral fillers and synthetic additives, micronized hemp hurds provide manufacturers with a sustainable pathway to reduce petroleum-based inputs while enhancing product functionality.

Hemp Plastics & Composite Applications
150-micron hemp hurd powder is particularly well-suited for use in bioplastics, injection molding, extrusion, and 3D printing compounds. It can be incorporated into a variety of polymer matrices—including polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PLA, and other biodegradable resins—to create lightweight, durable, and environmentally responsible materials.

The natural cellulose content contributes to improved stiffness and reduced shrinkage, while the fine particle size allows for smooth processing and consistent dispersion. This makes it an excellent choice for manufacturers seeking to produce high-quality, eco-friendly plastic products at scale.

Additional Uses
Beyond plastics, micronized hemp hurds can be utilized in coatings, adhesives, construction composites, and specialty materials where fine particle size and natural fiber content are desired.

With its combination of sustainability, performance, and versatility, 150-micron hemp hurd powder is a forward-looking solution for the next generation of bio-based materials.
